How text message consent works
FollowUpBills sends invoice reminder texts on behalf of small trade businesses (electricians, plumbers, HVAC and similar) to their own customers.
- The business collects their customer's mobile number while booking or completing a job, and gets the customer's agreement to receive text messages about invoices and payment.
- When the business adds that customer in FollowUpBills, texts stay off unless the business checks a box confirming the customer agreed. The date of that confirmation is recorded.
- Every text names the business, relates to a specific invoice, and ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."
Example message: "Ace Electric: invoice 1042 for $640.00 is 3 days past due. Pay here: https://... Reply STOP to opt out."
Message frequency varies by invoice, usually no more than 6 messages per invoice. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Phone numbers and consent are never shared or sold for marketing. See our privacy policy and terms.
